Fentanyl is a powerful artificial opioid, which, comparable to morphine, provides analgesia but to a larger extent. This robust pharmacologic agent is often 50 to one hundred instances much more strong. A dose of only one hundred micrograms can deliver equal analgesia to close to 10 mg of morphine.
